This is a system: it's Russia's system.
"Thousands of Ukraine civilians are being held in Russian prisons. Russia plans to build many more."
"40 detention facilities in Russia and Belarus, and 63 makeshift and formal ones in occupied Ukrainian territory where Ukrainian civilians are held. The recent UN report counted a total of 37 facilities in Russia and Belarus, and 125 in occupied Ukraine."

"At least 4,000 civilians are held in Russia and at least as many scattered around the occupied territories. Around 10,000 civilians could be detained, according to Ukrainian negotiator Oleksandr Kononeko..."
The illegally detained Ukrainians are moved from prison to prison constantly.
“They say, ‘We don’t have these people, it’s you who is lying,’” Kononeko said.
Russia does it to skirt the Geneva Conventions--to hide their responsibility for the systematic kidnapping, deportation, torture, and murder.

"100s of civilians end up in a place that is possibly even more dangerous than the prisons: the trenches of occupied Ukraine."
This is what happened to Olena Yahupova among other forms of violence…
"They dragged her out of the cell and drove her around town to identify pro-Ukrainian locals. She didn’t."
Her Russian captors forced her to do an interview on camera, and to repond with 'right answers', a gun pointed to her head from behind a camera.

Olena was beaten because she didn't know what the 'right' answers were.
She was dragged out again to make a film: Olena walked with two other men near the border to show that Russia was releasing people in detention. She and the other two Ukrainian men were not released.
"At the end of the last take, Russian soldiers loaded them into a truck and drove them to a nearby crossroads. One put shovels into their hands."
“Now you will do something for the good of the Russian Federation,” he [Russian] said."

"And so, Yahupova ended up digging trenches until mid-March with more than a dozen Ukrainian civilians, including business owners, a student, a teacher, and utility workers."
“Sometimes we even worked there 24 hours a day, when they had an inspection coming,” she said.
This is a glimpse of what's happening in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and why Ukraine is fighting to liberate each centimetre of its territory and every soul living under Russian violence.
Some think tanks, policy makers, and scammers trying to make money on this platform [Twitter] off the suffering and torture of human beings, have lost the plot…
To those useful idiots:
If you're 'debating' the reality of life in the occupied territory in Ukraine, doubting the war itself, you're making money through the clicks of your worthless, evil thoughts. You're contributing to Russia's war of annihilation.
