British government minister, Chris Philip, has said that the Russian missile strike yesterday on a shopping centre in Kremenchuk was “terrorism”. He said it illustrated there was “no end to Putin’s barbarity” and that it was “part of a consistent pattern of atrocities being committed by the Russian government”.
Ukrainian Air Force reported that the Kremenchuk shopping center was hit by a Russian Kh-22 missile launched from a Tu-22M3 bomber flying in the Kursk region.
Russian shelling of a residential area in Kharkiv, killed at least five civilians on Monday. A further 19 people were wounded in the attack, Oleh Synehubov said. A Russian missile attack also killed at least eight civilians and wounded 21 in Ukraine’s eastern Lysychansk region.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said explosions were heard in the city early on June 28. The air raid alert began sounding in Mykolaiv at 5 a.m. local time today and remained active.
Russian troops were unable to completely cut off Lysychansk from the lines of communication with Bakhmut. The Russians also failed an attempt to advance towards Slovyansk.
Any encroachment on the Crimea peninsula by a Nato member-state could amount to a declaration of war on Russia which could lead to “World War Three,” Russia’s former president, Dmitry Medvedev, was quoted as saying on Monday.
The US has banned the import of new Russian gold, the country’s biggest non-energy export, and imposed sanctions on over 100 targets.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said there can be no return to prewar ties with Russia. Scholz said that with its attack on Ukraine, Russia has broken “all the rules, all the agreements we have made with each other on countries’ cooperation” after the G7 summit.
Bulgaria expels 70 Russian diplomats: The foreign ministry have now ordered Russia to reduce its diplomatic staff in Bulgaria to the same level as Bulgarian diplomatic missions in Russia.
NATO members meeting in Madrid: in a clear sign of intimidate and testing the ground, Roscosmos published satellite images of government buildings in the West calling them “decision-making centers” that support Ukraine.
Speaking on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Madrid, NATO secretary-general Stoltenberg said does not see China as an adversary but it is concerned about Beijing’s ever closer ties with Moscow, Reuters reports.

The UN security council will met on today to discuss Russia’s targeted attacks on civilians at the request of Ukraine.
Weekend Russian missile attack in Kyiv
Vadym Vetrov has been reporting since February 24 on the ground in Ukraine. He was in Kyiv when Russian missiles killed a six-year-old child and her entire family. To date, 30,000 Ukrainian civilians have been killed and over 1 million Ukrainians have been forcibly deported, including over 300,000 children.

This week, the Ukrainian High Command made the decision to withdraw its forces from Sievierodonetsk to previously prepared defensive positions further to the west. Ceding ground in the east by Ukraine is a tactical realignment.
It is not the same as"'Ukraine is losing the war", as some have cast the events of the last few weeks. It is simply part of war's nature, as humans seek to impose their will on each other. War has many twists and turns.
The Surveillance State- China
New Chinese technologies, detailed in procurement and other documents reviewed by The New York Times, further extend the boundaries of social and political controls and integrate them ever deeper into people’s lives.
At their most basic, they justify suffocating surveillance and violate privacy. In the extreme, they risk automating systemic discrimination and political repression.
