I just saw the attacks on the Children's Hospital via Julia Kochetova a photographer based in Ukraine. The images are just another example of the cowardice of Russia and sadly the ignorance of the West. Where is the consistent and unwavering support? People in the far west of Europe and also in the US seem unconcerned about the potential ramifications of a Russia victory, let alone a peace deal (which should not be on the table no matter how much cuddling Viktor Orban does to various other leaderships - he is his own walking disaster for Hungary. Again I know why Hungary is in the EU and NATO but I think he has gotten away with a lot of behavior under the umbrella of both those organizations that he should have been punished for, or at the very castigated in the strongest terms). Unfortunately Hamas and the current US presidential election (if you can still call it that?) have co-oped to the 24/7 news cycle here (and I have no doubt Putin has his hands all over that strategy via bots and fake news) and Ukraine is very much in the background. 😪
